Your photos stay on your device
“In-browser” means photo decoding, editing, previews, and exports run locally in this browser. Your images are not uploaded to Insta Little Helper or sent to an editing server.
Recent edits use this browser’s IndexedDB storage on this device. “New image” replaces the open edit; use Recent edits to delete one saved edit or clear them all.
On Android and supported desktop browsers, an installed copy can receive photos from the system share sheet. The service worker handles that share locally, parks the files briefly in a separate IndexedDB inbox, and clears the inbox when the app opens them. No network or upload is involved. iOS does not support Web Share Target, so on iPhone you open the app and choose photos instead.
Exported files include a Software field naming Insta Little Helper and an edited-with history entry for https://insta.theanosmic.me and @ariel.bluman. They never claim the photographer’s Artist, Copyright, or Description fields. Instagram strips this metadata on upload; it survives only when the original export is shared directly, such as by AirDrop, Drive, email, or a document attachment.
Error reports
Production errors may be sent to Sentry with the error message and stack, app version, browser, pointer type, active tool, and a limited description of the document shape and export settings.
Reports never include image pixels or files, file names, EXIF data, captions, dates you type, or full page URL query strings. Default personal-information collection and session replay are disabled.
Traffic analytics
Cloudflare Web Analytics may count visits and basic performance information. It is cookieless and does not track your photo-editing content.
Licenses
Caveat and DSEG7 fonts are distributed under the SIL Open Font License. HEIC fallback decoding includes libheif under the GNU LGPL.
The app also uses React, Vite, Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui, Lucide, Zustand, vite-plugin-pwa, exifr, fflate, heic-to, Sentry, Radix UI, and Workbox.
